Hill Country Mile -Walk down Hauptstrasse (Main Street)

Hauptstrasse, German for “Main Street,” is the heart of historic downtown Boerne and a fun place to slow down and explore with the kiddos. Wander the Hill Country Mile, pop into local shops, hunt for a sweet treat, grab lunch and enjoy the small-town charm along the way. With historic buildings, Main Plaza and plenty of family-friendly stops nearby, it’s an easy place to turn an afternoon stroll into a little adventure.

Howdy Kiddo Tip: Let the kiddos help lead the way! Pick a treat along Main Street, stop to play at Main Plaza, and take small amounts of kitchen scraps, fruit, frozen corn to feed the ducks when you wander over toward Cibolo Creek.
